If you were ever wondering what is yoga all about and were thinking about joining a yoga class or maybe do some yoga at your own place, this beginner yoga sequence is a great place to start!

You don't need any kind of props or special equipment. All you need is your will and 20 minutes of your time. You don't even need a yoga mat, but it's good to have one, especially if you get addicted to yoga and start practicing more advanced positions.

But for now, this yoga for beginners will teach you all the basics and provide you with a solid foundation for your future yoga endeavors. This routine doesn't require any previous knowledge. You don't even have to be too flexible, either.

Just follow what Adriene does the best you can, and don't go over your limits. You can do this once a day. Soon, the flexibility and strength will come and this will be like a child's play for you and you'll be ready for tougher challenges.

Yoga for Complete Beginners

This is one of the best beginner yoga videos out in my opinion. I personally started with this video and found it great for releasing tension all over the body. It is a blended practice with some light meditation as well which will help to clear your mind from a stressful day or will get you ready for a great day.

All that you need for this practice is a yoga mat, if you dont have one yet, or are looking for a new mat check out our post on the best yoga mats.
