How To Do A Forearm Balance
Type of Yoga
In this video, Lesley will teach you how to do a forearm balance. Even though this challenging posture is in the main focus, your entire body will benefit from this routine. That's because, in order to prepare yourself for the forearm balance, your whole body needs to achieve a certain degree of strength and flexibility. Only with a well-balanced body will you be able to do this inversion and other, more difficult ones.
The routine lasts 48 minutes, so its length is a challenge on its own. Most of the routine is fast, with little time for adjustments. But when the instructor talks about the forearm balance, the tempo slows down so you have enough time to do it right. This inversion is not an easy thing to do so you don't want to rush it. That's why this class is mostly for intermediate yogis who have never done an inversion before. Make sure to have a yoga block and a strap ready.
