How To Do A Headstand
Type of Yoga
For all the yogis looking to advance their yoga skills, Lesley has prepared an excellent routine that will help them in their journey and teach them how to do a headstand.
Even though this is a class for beginners, it's actually suitable for intermediate yoga practitioners who have already mastered the basic yoga poses and are beginners when it comes to yoga inversions. You can't really start your yoga journey with a headstand. A sufficient strength and balancing abilities need to be developed before you can even start thinking about a headstand.
The routine lasts 48 minutes and starts with a proper warm-up. As the routine advances, you'll go through more and more advanced poses, culminating in a yoga stand. If you still don't feel ready for it, you can do everything up to that pose. As the muscles you need for the headstand get stronger and your balance improves, you're gain confidence and finally be able to do your very first headstand!
